Hi First time hope someone can help

Decided after all these years to add a yale 6080 remote keypad to system to save running through house if using back door

Instructions poor just state look in system manual (6080 not around when 3500 written)

Anyway managed to get yale help line last week. who emailed learn procedure

So great keypad in system
can arm home and away
but cannot set unit to disarm
left in default pin code so disarm plus 0000 how do i get it to use code in 3500 or set the code in the keypad

p.s. yale gave me the following to learn into 3500
CP to add devices
then on 6080 keypad
disarm twice, Panic A and 0000 (green light will flash)
panic A and 1 (siren will acknowledge)
disarm twice
return cp to Alarm off

This works great
have trawled internet checked PIN install methods none work can arm but disarm led flashes and nothing happens

any body help

Will try Yale monday if i can get through

at least can set home and away

press the A button (left hand red button) on your 6080 keypad followed by 0000.

This will see the green light flash and you are in programming mode.

Press the A button agin followed by the number 7.

Now press the unlock button twice to leave programming mode. (green light goes out and stops flashing)

You should now find that pressing the green unlock button followed by THE CODE YOU HAVE SET IN YOUR CONTROL PANEL (NOT 0000!) will disarm the alarm.

:D

Hi thanks for the prompt reply

Yes tried that found that advice last night

set alarm opened door countdown pressed disarm + **** light flashed fast nothing.... javascript:emoticon(':(')

have reset keypad (battery out + 3 back in)
what order initialise pad then learn or learn then initialise

Any ideas .....

I did this once, and needed to have the full instructions for the 3500 and the 6400 at the same time, as the instructions are slightly different for the two ranges in terms of which buttons you press to add a keypad to a panel.

I made a note by hand in the instruction book, don't think I can find it today, otherwise I would tell you.

You can download the instrs from the Yale website on http://www.yale.co.uk/en/yale/couk/Let-us-help/Product-Literature1/ (the 3500 is not shown but the 3600 or 3800 may be similar)

Thanks Problem sorted

Got 3500 installation handbook

and translated remote keypad pin number entry from
enter 0000 press clr, enter new code press prog, press off twice

TO

on keypad 6080

press Disarm button twice
button A enter code 0000
button B enter new code
ARM
press Disarm Twice

Hey Presto it works

Thanks both of you should have seen the similarity in the process with the learn instructions emailed by yale

Cool glad it's sorted. The second option was to be my plan B.

Also good that 0000 is no longer the code in the keypad for security reasons.

Hi Guys,

I've followed all this and i'm still stuggling.
I'm trying to add the 6080 to my 3800 alarm system.
I've got it added and changed the code to match my system following all your advice above.

I just can't get it to disarm my system.
Any further ideas?

does it arm the system, on both Home and Away buttons?
(no PIN required to Arm)

Hi,

sorry it's taken so long to reply but I've only just had time to check.

YES
it will arm the sytem both fully and in home mode with just a press of the respective buttons.

Whatever I do it will not disarm the system.

then I think you have not changed the PIN correctly. Does it work with the default PIN?

you can reset it, you have to take the battery out. Note that instructions for the 6000 accessories are not the same as in the 3000 range manual.

nope doesn't work with the default either.

press green then the code and I get lots of flashing led but nothing else.
I'll try resetting the default.

So default code reset.
I know this because I had to relearn the keypad to the system and it needed the 0000 to work.

I've got myself into exactly the same situation,
It will arm the system in both mode but it won't disarm.

I've even tried opening my door with the system set to simulate the entry countdown and nothing!

grrrrrrrr

Did you get it work, I've the same problem

the same problem

you mean you too have got a HSA6080 remote keypad and a HSA3500 panel?

do you mean you are trying to learn the pad in, or to set the PIN? Or do you mean it will arm but not disarm?
