In our house we moved into a couple of years ago we have a 13amp fcu off a ring supplying power to the shed. The shed is around 15 metres away and it's currently on a 2.5 swa with a small consumer unit in the shed.

The shed is barely used and has a few lights and one socket. The socket only really uses a lawn mower at most. It will never be used for much more.

Does the 2.5 need upgrading in size or will it be sufficient. I will get someone in to replace it necessary.

Thanks.

15m of 2.5mm² from a 13A fuse should be fine. However if you're asking about adding a garage, or you think your useage will change and you are digging up the garden at the moment it may be the oportunity to make any changes.

The only change maybe a socket or 2 outside from the shed for outdoor lighting in the garden. Other than that it's not going to change a great deal.

My garage is fed with a bit of 1.5mm SWA, about 15 meters worth, installed by persimmons! Works fine enough although you can notice a bit of volt drop with a lot on. Yours will be fine

It doesn't sound like you have any need to make a change to it.
