hi,
what is the best way of removing artex on walls? its not very thick and have used that x-tex stuff which was pretty good but quickly turns it like rubber making it differcult to get off.
so does anybody have any other ideas?

Probably better to pva and skim over it. I've seen people attempt to remove artex in the past, and the walls/ceilings always needed to be repaired in one way or another. Probably, it's the old emulsion that is turning rubbery? Skimming is the best for sure.

i tend to agree as the walls do need a bit of patching.
is there anywhere on this forum i can find local people?

Not really. The best way is to get local plasterers in your area to see your job and give you a quote. Get 2 or 3, that's the best way.
