Artexing a ceiling?

Artex is outdated, go for a nice plastered ceiling.
It doesnt matter about matching the other ceilings, Im sure your visitors would rather look up to a plastered ceiling, than artex.
If you do want to artex the ceiling, make sure its prepped well, any cracks taped, seal the ceiling and artex.
To get a rough gauge on the consistency of the artex, dip your finger and thumb in the mix, open finger and thumb, the peak hanging will be roughly the finish, thicken or dilute as needed.
