I am about to receive delivery of an electric built in (built under) cooker. Do the regulations require that I get a qualified electrician to install it or can I go ahead and wire it in myself. I live just across the border in Wales. Thanks.
You can install the appliance to an existing circuit. (as per manufacturers instructions)
But you cannot install a new circuit for the appliance, without notifying building controls.
