Hi guys, i just replaced my windows and noticed about the roof concrete. The building is old, built in the 70s and im just wondering if that is asbestos?
Any help is appreciated!
Thanks for the comments!
I tried adding a couple more photos. Doesn't look like there are any fibres as far as I can see.
Unfortunately, my location does not have a qualified surveyor and getting one would be rather expensive. Well well, I guess a piece of mind is probably worth it. Will give them a call.
In my experience people on forums are generally disinclined to give advice about asbestos because if what they say is misinterpreted it might prevent them from getting concrete advice (Excuse the pun it wasn't intentional)
Hope weather better in your area of the world, tonight Scotland is awaiting snow? I have absolutely no conception of building practice in Singapore??
OK unless you use a microscope you will not be able to tell if indeed there is any Asbestos present. I have sneaking suspicion that in your part of the world, Health and Safety is [at times] not just as "Pressing"???
if this suspect material is external then any "exposure risk" will be minimal? Indeed there is possibly more risk of air born vehicular brake dust than a danger from the material we are discussing here??
As above, there are UK based test houses that specialise in such testing .
