We've recently had a survey and estimate from a basement tanking company for a type C drainage system. However, they have only quoted for the works they themselves do - and say we have to arrange quotes for the other works (digging/building sump hole, electrics, etc).
We are looking at other companies and getting individual quotes, but if anyone can help even with very ballpark costs for the below, it would be much appreciated. I know it's likely not as simple as just listing some bulletpoints, but even a rough guide/range would be great.
The room size is approx 3.3 x 3.3 metres.
Building works (pre-works)
- Removing epoxy resin floor laid on top of a concrete floor (concrete floor to remain)
- Break a drainage channel in the floor perimeter
- Excavate hole in concrete floor and build concrete box within it for sump chamber
- Excavate core hole for necessary discharge pipework (no idea what this actually means)
Building works (post works)
- Lay screed on floor over top of membrane the tanking will put down
- Line walls with a metal floor to ceiling studwork system, plasterboard and skim. Any insulation within the void
must be rigid board
- Jetting ports in drainage channel must remain accessible
Electrical work
- Your electrician to provide two separately supplied radial circuits, each controlling a 13 amp switched fused
spur with neon indicator for connection of sump pumps. MCB to be ‘C type’ to allow for initial start-up surge.
- The fuse box is in the basement already, which hopefully helps?
