Atec av371ds power off/flickering screen fault

Hi my friend has this atec tv and it struggles to turn on unless you keep the power button held down for about 20 secs for it to turn on but then when it is on its fine for a few minutes then screen starts flickering then turns itself off.... I've taken the back off and there doesn't seem to be any obvious damage, eg bulging caps, melting or burned out.
Any ideas would be appreciated.

Best advice is NOT to power it up again till it's fixed. You could make the repair more expensive.

Capacitor failure is often not visible - at least to the untrained eye. Use an ESR meter.
