42" Vizio screen Flickering

I am trying to help my friend diagnose his issue with his 42 inch LCD Vizio. It powers on just fine, but after it gets warmed up the screen starts to flicker constantly. You can still see the picture and here sound, but really can't watch the tv since it flickers so quickly. After removing the back paneling I found that as it flickers there is a ticking noise that sounds like it is coming from the small board directly behind the screen on the left side. This board has the small power wire from it to the back of the screen. Anyone have any ideas?
