Attaching an Oak Porch Canopy

The ones I'm looking at are the ones on gallows crutches and tiled with real tiles, not the fibreglass ones. I have done a whole double garage roof, trusses included, but no leadwork. Would I need cavity trays, or just a disc cutter slot into the render that's already there?

If it's not enclosed you just need flashing not cavity trays.
