Unit is a SONY BDV E380.

It has a calibration mic input which is done by a 3.5mm jack. Its there for the receiver to locate the proximity of the speakers. Was wondering if it could support a 3.5mm aux jack from my phone to the unit to stream music??

Let me know what you guys think.
Cheers.

No it's specific to the EQ circuitry.
No way to select it as an input.

Anyway the iPhone headphone level out would be too high and distort the microphone circuit, so would sound awful.

It has a RCA input on rear and a 3.5mm jack to 2-RCA jacks would work: do read the manual for details of how to select and use that input.

EDIT Allegedly it has/supports an iPhone dock -- but whether recent iPhones can connect is another thing (see the manual). It may also be possible to connect your iPhone to the USB port. (see the manual).
