Anyone got much experience with these.

I've recently bought a new property (4bedroom 3bathroom) the plumber that came round has advised and priced to install the above.

Currently have an old Potterton with vented HWC.

I was thinking along the lines of Highflow 550 or unvented cylinder set up but the plumber reckons the AVC is a good bit of kit.

With 4 of us in the house I really need continuous hot water hence High Flow.

Thanks

The 25c will knock out around 365 Litres in the first 10 mins, assuming your mains can deliver it.

The plumber did mention he would run a separate 22mm supply from the main supply to the unit, he checked the water rate with a some kind of cup and said no problems, working cold pressure was near 3 bar from what I recall.

Had a quick look at the highflow, 25L/M so that 250 in 10mins.

Don't think the highflow are a patch on the quality.

There are similar to Dans favorite Atmos, down firing tank in tank.

I've done a little research on this, seems to be decent kit but the unit is some size.

Cost wise, it comes in at around 2.5K for the 25c.

I've spoke with another plumber and he advised Unvented with a system boiler.

What is the preferred option here, am I right in thinking the heat master give instant hot water but with the unvented I will need to go to heating a large store ?

The ACV has a store of water and will be much more efficient than the boiler and unvented, because there's no loss from heat transfer from the boiler to store.

Space I think you'll find a boiler an unvented will take up more.

Out interest you may find there also a labour and material saving with the ACV.

Finally I think if you cost it out, and good boiler and unvented won't be far off £2.5k either.

Yep not much in it cost wise at all, I think the ACV ticks all boxes, I'm also going to go with Weather Comp with this install. As you say, the installation cost could well be a lot less.

Just out of curiosity, will I require a zone valve for this ?

I don't intend zoning parts of the property but I was told I will require a pump then a zone valve after the pump ?

Also, doe's anyone know what comes with the ACV, IE expansion vessel filling loops etc ?
