check you havent got reversed polarity ie 240 volts on the neutral
then i would replace the electrode and lead if thats ok ;)

was this the same problem it had before you replaced the pcb

This problem has only started in the past 2 week, but the boiler has been going off for the past 6 month hence changing the PCB

is the green light continally flashing (quickly) once burner has ignited?

If so, the electrode / lead will need changing.

Filing the electrode (ie cleaning it up) usually works.

Have just been told it could be the gas valve?Very costly apparently?

if you have paid under 200 notes for a potty pcb (not that they overcharge) then you have bought the piece of trash that potty swore blind had no faults with it.

Replace it (for the equally poor) upgrade and rewire the boiler - just like everyone else does with their boilers nowadays.

Actually they dont. Its a potty priveledge. I can only assume it gives their cutomers a sense of adventure

No Gaz I bought a new PCB for £120

surprised you could get one as they stopped being made about 2 years ago

also soggy in what way is the new upgrade poor ive fitted 100s and had maybe 1 or 2 faults

Could the problem be with the motorised valve, I took the cover up and pressed in the relay button with a small screwdriver and the boiler lit and stayed lit for 10 mins, when I removed the screwdriver the boiler went back out ??????
