I currently have a back boiler in my chimney breast and a gas fire on the front of the breast. The pilot light for the boiler is on the bottom of fire under a little flap.

Is it possible to have the gas fire removed without changing the whole boiler system? If it is possible is it a costly job?

I know i will need a corgi registered fitter, just want to know if it is possible....

Yes you can remove fire for mantainence purposes but you cannot permenantly run the back boiler unit without the fire being in place as Lunat said.
