Looking for a bit of advice and peoples experiences really.

I currently have a back boiler that is in need of replacing and i dont really have a suitable place to relocate the boiler to put in a combi,

Wasnt sure for one if it would be possible to put a combi in the chimney basically,

Can anyone share their knowledge to help me out? :)

Why a combi for starters?
Do you have a loft that meets the standards required?

Sorry for being cagey but we have a resident troll who re-invents himself on a daily basis.

Paul.

My boiler knowledgeis limited to be honest, doesnt need to be a combi really, a back boiler if you can still get them would be fine.

Im not a troll, at least i hope not :P

I'll have a look into that i think, thanks for the tip

who said it needs replacing and why?

When British Gas gave it a service when we moved in he said it was very old and could do with being changed, and it doesnt seem very efficient, our gas bill seems to agree

It's BGs policy to try and sell you something you don't really need isn't it?
They are NOT very efficient, but it will last you longer than any combi or condenser will do. It'll still be working in another 25 years but you'll be lucky to get 10 out of a combi. They were made to last. Keep it as long as you can i say.

Alot of the things i read and research seem to point me at keeping the back boiler, maybe worth me getting someone in to have a good look at it
