Back boxer spacers

Hi can anyone advise me on how to use these spacers to join to metal boxes together. Trying to figure it out but its bemusing me.

Place the two boxes side by side with the fixed lugs where the spacer will be.

Take the screw out of the spacer. Hook the U-shaped bit into the two holes below the fixed lugs, put the top piece on. Do up the screw, sorted.

PS, its best to knock out the holes u want, first!

And use the same make spacer as the box.

Thanks for the replies. Do you mean the large u shaped section goes through the knockouts underneath the fixed lugs?

No, the small u-shaped bit goes through the holes below the fixed lugs. These holes are made during production when part of the side of the box is bent inward to form the lugs.
