Where the back box is dry lining type no problem, but with metal back boxes the room is rather limited, so looking at spacers, the 10 mm should be enough however even the upper and lower screw lugs need removing to give enough room.

So question is has anyone used the spacers and did they work OK, using Energenie smart light switches and sockets, the idea is to be able to switch on lights from the car to better see route to house, HomeBargains were selling off Energenie cheap, so I bought them while I could, so no option now for another make.

Digging out the old box is of course an option but using a spacer is far easier.
