Balancing rads

Can you still balance rads if the valve is on the HOT WATER IN pipe and the TRV is on the other?

Do you need to balance with TRVS on rads?

Don't think it matters because once the head is off, the valve is on the open position. But why would you want to take the head off?

But it does matter. Rads with TRVs must be balanced, just like any other rad. Balancing must be done with the TRV head OFF.
