I have just replaced the PCB in a Balmoral 55F open vent boiler due to complaints of fumes - the actual smell was coming from the PCB which had obvious signs of scorching/arcing - it was actually smoking. The cause is usually water damage but that wasn't obvoiusly the case here.

However, I replaced the PCB and the boiler was recomissioned. Several days later, I received a call back claiming that the boiler doesn't automatically relight when the roomstat calls for heat. So basically it works to satisfy heating demand but when the roomstat then calls for heat again the burner doesn't relight. They need to turn off power supply to reset.

Any ideas? Help!!

Put it on trade talk by mistake. But cast your net far and wide and you just might catch the fish you seek. We're a poetical lot we plumbers.

Any advice, however?
