A friend of mine has asked me to install strand woven bamboo planks (96mm x 910mm x 14mm) in her hallway. I was wondering if I could glue the floor down to the existing floorboards rather than having to put down ply first.

the boards are all very even (see pic):

I've done this once with unfinished parquet blocks
What are your thoughts?

Quick update,

Opted not to lay play first & glued the floor down directly to the old floorboards.
