Bamboo not growing in raised planter

Hi,

I had my garden made over a couple of years ago and had some bamboo planted. Some of it was planted directly into the soil and has grown very well. However I also had a raised planter created and it's hardly grown at all, even though it's rained lots recently and I've added fertiliser.

All I can think if the soil is not deep enough for the roots. Any other ideas?

How often have you been watering it (since it was planted)?
