HELP: My pipes from the central heating system has started to make a very loud banging noise about an hour after heating has been turned off. It sounds like the banging is travelling through the pipe work and end up in the airing cupboard and finishes with a couple of clicks. Could anyone please help me. :(

I'm having similar problems. Sometimes several hours after the system has been turned off. The noises are very loud - loud enough to wake us up.

Any help out there?
