A bath normal rad start banging when the heating has been on for a bit

if the thermostat on the rad is turned down a bit it stops straight away

any idea on the cause?

do I need to oil the pin

They can knock if tvr is starting to engage as reached temp. Open up and all is good? Check the flow (which pipe gets hot first) tvr should be that pipe although some work on either side. Some have flow arrow on so look. If it's just started doing it maybe new tvr required
