Well Cameron has finally shown his colours arguing AGAINST the bankers bonus cap - so why has he pretended all these years that he was against big bonuses? :?

One can be morally opposed to something, but feel that banning it by statute is wrong.

Especially when that law was passed by the EU, and imposed upon the UK, and as usual for the EU, it's poorly thought out and designed to break the cities hold on financial interests in favour of the EU.

The EU leaders should be impaled on the gherkin

Indeed you can...

Lying about your real motives however is completely different!

When you say 'cities', which ones do you mean?

"The City" or the City of London, a lot of euro politicians want to see it knocked down, it's part of what gives the UK some powerful influence over Europe, as well as the frogs being green with envy.

I don't know I haven't really followed what he says, where did he lie?

He's a conservative, conservatives should as a party be against any kind of government cap on wages, if he did at any point say there should be a cap enforced by government, then he should go join the labour party.

Thanks for clearing that up...

You really need to get your grammar straight if you want to make a credible argument...

But whether it's the latest French or German 'idea', the facts remain the same...

Which country in their right mind would become so dependant on the banks that nothing else matters?

I can name two (not mentioned above) to start with...!

Oh and by the way...

What do you make of this then?

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/finance/...on-calls-for-2000-cap-on-banking-bonuses.html

David Cameron upped the political ante on City bonuses by calling for a £2,000 cap on payouts to all staff at taxpayer-backed banks.

You really are an ignorant numpty...

Really, try harder.

I don't follow what he says because I already consider him a faux conservative, hence saying I didn't know.

£2,000 cap on payouts to all staff at taxpayer-backed banks.

So semi public bodies then, it's against conservative ethos to cap private pay, the public sector can do as it's told.

You really should think about the intricacies of these arguments and familiarise yourself with the ideologies, rather than spending your time reaching for the dictionary to grammar check.

Which country in their right mind would become so dependant on the banks that nothing else matters?

And I'm sure EU legislation is gonna fix this, LOL.

Dependant upon banks, meh, they are leeches, they are dependent upon us, and in moderation help grease the wheels of commerce.

Our recent problems are mostly that of government overspending, not reckless banking, we are still one of the richest nations in the world, I'd rather not burn the banks to the ground in some fantastical idea that all will be sunshine and unicorns without them.

Lets face facts, in a couple of years he's going to be out of a job, so he's looking after his future interest..

The government has no place regulating salaries in the private sector. It's the government's job to pass laws which protect the consumer from the excesses of the private sector.

The problem stems from government being on the side of the banks and not the electorate. The previous labour government took this corruption to a whole new level. They allowed banks to gamble recklessly with our money, that's the real issue. If the banks want to gamble with their own money then that's OK, let them pay themselves whatever they want.

Everything is always traceable to the Scottish Fool.

You love to show yourself up time and again don't you A*r*S*e...

So let's see the evidence this time shall we?...

Lets have a look at a previous A*r*S*e post shall we?

No mention of 'private' or 'public' there...

And for A*r*S*e's parting gift...

we are all p*ssing ourselves laughing at you

But of course just like your nasty party heroes, you will bend over and take it any way they (the banks) like to shove it...

(A*r*S*e of course likes to also add the comment 'how far'?)
