Whilst standing at the sink brushing my teeth last night, the flexible connector for the hot water decided it was time to burst. I quick isolated the supply using a flat screwdriver on the hose and managed to dry up all the water. Fortunately it's not caused any damage and even more fortunately it decided to burst through the rust/weak point while I was at home!

I've taken a photo of the setup which needs modifying as the box of tricks in the photo is going to be removed. The previous owners fitted the light up version of the Crosswater Monobloc tap which I've never seen work so I'm more than happy to remove it and throw it away.

I'd like to secure the 15mm copper tubes to the wall this time so there's not the stress or movement going on this time as currently they are not secured to anything.

Please could you advise me of the best way to connect my taps back up to the hot and cold feeds. I'm happy with doing the plumbing but I want to buy the best parts I can (brand wise) and also get the right solution this time so I can service the tap easily if it ever happened again. Do you suggest additional coupling valves of is it better to connect directly onto the copper etc?

I realise that the hose it connected directly onto the copper tube currently so I'll need to turn off the water supply before removing the damaged hoses.

Whilst I'm doing this work I would also like to sort out the waste pipe as I'm sure it could be moved further back/out of the way and I'm pretty sure that in its current setup it's causing a small from the soil stack to escape into the air. The outlet out of the house does seem a little high so I'm wondering if this is going to cause a problem or if it will be ok?

Your thoughts and suggestions would be really appreciated please.

Thanks
