No - but if you're concerned then wrap the waste pipe in mineral wool

And is this the usual way of doing it to save a boxing in on the surface?

Yes, as long as you're going between the joists, and not trying to cut through them.
Correct lay out is bath then basin at end of bath. So waste could run under bath but would then need a small boxing after the bath to the basin. So guessing under the floor would be neater?
Under floor would be neater, as mentioned though, run the pipe parallel with joists, do not notch and run 40mm pipe across the joists. Recommend you use an anti vac or waterless trap on the basin to avoid the bath pulling on the trap.
Would be a separate boss to in to the stack for the basin. Not tee'd in to the bath
Ah ok, was just the wording, If you are creating separate runs then of course that's the ideal.
