Bath fitted , waste help please

Hi, i have fitted my new bath and I have a couple of problems.

The first being the waste which may be the wrong set up . The old waste says 30x20mm and the outside diameter of the grey pipe that leads out to the waste is 35mmm.
When i went to my local hardware shop he said i need a reducer that went over the 40 mm grey pipe.

I now have a small drip from the waste area . Could some please help as to what i should have , also the new bath is a lot lighter and flimsier than my old how can i secure the bath to the wall side so it is a good fix .

Sorted found brackets in the instructions in a little bag. As for waste got that sorted as well, if some one could please tell me in what order i should finish fitting the bath , ie brackets to wall fill bath with water , grip fill to wall ,sealent (the one on a roll) . I will be fitting decor panels afterwards. Any help or advice would be apreciated . Thanks

Fix brackets to timber frame under rim of bath, pointing up so you can screw from above bath.
Get bath level and in place, mark position of brackets
Pull bath out of way and drill holes & insert wallplugs
Scrape bit of plaster to allow brackets to be slightly embedded in wall
Bath back in place, screw brackets in, checking level
Screw feel to floor where you can,
Squirt silicon around rim of bath and push in with finger
Attach wall panel/tiles and grout as per adhesive instructions
Masking tape on bath/tiles
Fill with water
Apply silicon (not tape on roll - don't like the stuff), use finger wetted with fairy liquid solution to shape it, immediately remove masking tape before silicon sets
Leave bath full overnight
Empty bath

NO GRIPFILL NEEDED TO ATTACH BATH TO WALL!!

Thanks for that, all done , i have also just prepared the walls i am going to put the decor panels on , any tips on putting the panels on . I will be putting battons up and using adhesive Thanks
