My next option was to attach a lat to the wall on the underside of the lip spanning the stubs and screw to this. However the 45mm by 22mm lat is too thick and will stop the bath sitting flush with the wall

I was thinking of trying an 18mm lat but that maybe too thick too. I will get one and see. Thanks for any more ideas

Baton along the wall , long and short ends, screwed into the studs with adhesive, even if you have to section the baton to fit in between the cradle brackets, it'll all end up with a much better seal to the wall too.

Thanks a 22mm baton though is too thick it sits proud of the bath as the picture

Thats it fit to the underside of the bath

Just getting the pic orientation right in my head. That wooden baton, that the cradle is attached to, is already fixed under the edge of the bath? If so it's that part you want to sit on any baton that is then fixed to the wall, not the actual acrylic edge of the bath. Doing this will end up with a 3 part seal.

Once the baton is tight fitted to the wall then fill the wall/baton corner/top with silicone and then sit the bath onto the baton leave a few mm's gap to the wall, that's is the 1st lower seal. Fill that gap all the way down with more silicone, then push the bath up tight to the wall and smooth off any silicone especially at the 'wet' corners that's squeezed out, that's the 2nd edge seal. Fill the bath and leave 24hrs to settle and silicone to set. Once the wall covering is on, then seal that to the bath, that's the 3rd top seal.

My only issue would be where the legs are I would have to notch the baton down to not much at all maybe 10mm

And that also happens to be were 2 of the stubs are Abit of a head ache. What size timber would you usually use for a baton?

I may actually get it if I section the baton where the cradle is like you said and drill through to the studs at an angle

Yes, I take it the wall is just a framed plasterboard false wall? If so then you could use anchors and adhesive just for those points if nothing else. If there block in there then longer screws and plugs.

Baton can be just a 2x1 or 3x2, it's not to carry any huge weight, the cradles does that, it's just to support the sides and stop things flexing and pulling/breaking the seal.
