Bath Screen Installation

I am installing this Mira Bath screen.

The instructions from the manufacturer say:

"Always fit the wall channel to the highest point on the bath side."

Now my plumber said to me fit it in the middle of the bath lip.
My bath has a lip that is raised on the outside and deeps on the inside.

What instructions am I following Mira's or plumbers?

Mira's, if you don't the screen won't hinge as it should.

You don't have a Plumber, you do all your own plumbing.

Don't like these screens that hinge off the wall. They nearly always leak.

The bets screens hinge off a 2 or 300mm fixed panel. When folded in misses the Tap & shower valve
