When did they stop working and what was being done at the time?

That's the problem they have been all put in but still not working brought new switch but they still don't work was wondering if there is a wire in the wrong place

How was the outside light removed and what was done with the wiring?

Light wiring basically runs from one light to the next to the next and so on, if you've removed a light then the wiring needs to joined or removed correctly to allow the rest of the lights to work

When I removed the bottom switch the cables came out of the switch I tried to put back as I remembered but didn't work. So then I read somewhere that the cables need to be the same on upper and lower switch. But anyway I try to connect nothing seems to work

As you don't seem to be able to answer a simple question that has been asked at least 3 times, regarding what husband did ( which is more than the switch wires) we are not going to be able to help you .

ASI previously said when I removed the bottom light switch some of the cables came out so am unable to remember which are which. The top and bottom switches are both intermitdate switches. All I need is a pointer of where the cables go to landing switch Red is in L1, Black with Red sleeve is in L2. Bottom switch Red L1 Blue L2 and yellow is in common 1
