Hi

Can anyone help.

I have had to scrap all the paint from my bathroom ceiling as it has began to flake off. Not sure how long the paint has been up there, but am guessing years. I'm nearly there with the scrapping, but under the paint is like a grey powder substance.

In order to put new emulsion up on the ceiling, do I need to use a proper primer, or should I stick with PVA/water mix?

Any help appreciated

cheers

I don't know what the best primer for you would be, (one of the painters will tell you), but don't ever use a PVA/water mix,, not a good idea at all.
