Hello all,
I'm about to rip out my old bathroom suit/tiling etc and renew, however as it currently stands the bathroom suffers from a lot of condensation based damp on the 2 external walls. (victorian single skin walls)
I was wondering what people thought of my plan, and whether it will cure it.
The current bathroom extractor is woefully inadequate and is a simple on/off fan so I was going to replace with a timed extractor rated at over 85LPS.
As well as this I was going to put a new radiator of the correct BTU in, roughly 3500-4000BTU.
Do you think this will be enough to stop the condensation issue? Or should should I also consider removing plaster, insulating, vapor membrane, boarding and re-plastering to increase the inside temperature of the external walls?
Thanks
Chris
