Evening,

I'm looking to relocate a dwarf wall by moving it close to the ridge, so it'll be pushed back by about 700mm/800mm from it's existing location. I planned on doubling up the rafters from the purlins to ridge edge, but a roofer who sorted a gable edge for me told me not to bother!

It's a chalet style 1.5 house. The bathroom sits partially in the eaves and is the room beside one of the dormers. I am looking at moving the dwarf wall in the eaves further back to accomodate a bath and open the bathroom up.

Attached image is a visual of the kind of frame I'm working with, so to the left of the dormer, but the rafters run down to the ridge edge. This section of the bathroom has about 5 rafters running down, then it's the dormer which is also connected to the neighbours dormer.
