I will be replacing the current ceiling mounted bathroom fan soon as it is the original fitted by the builder but it sdoesn't really pull enough air through having about a 4m run to the outside world.

As I will be using an in-line fan in the loft I would like to use a square grill in the ceiling but most seem to be round. Would anyone in the know be able suggest a supplier/ maker of something like this (but this is a complete fan). If cheap enough I could remove the motor assembly to achive what I am looking for

Inline fans tend to be better & quitter, but the worst thing on reducing air flow is flexible ducting. You will get nearly twice the flow with 100mm soil pipe. Laugh! we had a customer was complaining about steam & condensation in her bathroom, so we fitted an inline 6". Worked a treat, but then she complained the bathroom was cold. with the fan on. So we cut a 10x6" grill in the door. It worked fine, sucking some heat from the house.
