Hi folks,

Extractor fans circuit board has burnt out.

Is it possible to just bypass the circuit board & forget about the timer function, or does the circuit board do more than that?

You can replace the circuit board on some models, so it will depend on the brand and whether they do the spares.
Again depending on brand/model the PCB can cost over £20, and are sometimes difficult to swap out and may require solder jointing.
In my experience, generally replace the whole unit for new, with up to 3 year guarantee on.
You can by pass the the circuit board, will just turn on/off though and you will need to safely terminate the perm live conductor or/and disconnect at source.
