We have a ceiling mounted extractor fan ducted to an outlet vent located on the underside of the soffit. The outer wall is about a 2 ft drop to the soffit outlet.

I have been 'advised' that this set up is 'not ideal' as moisture laden extracted vapour can find its way back into the roof space via the soffit vents.

Any truth in this or is it just someone talking out of their proverbial!

The soffits are vented all round with slate vents so the roof space does get good ventilation.

Thanks

Moisture laden air can find it's way in without fan running so can't get any worse with use.
