I'm moving into my other half shortly and she got an extractor fan on her attached bathroom that keeps me awake, it currently does an over run when the light is switched on.

I was wondering how much is would cost(Leeds area) to get a sparky to swap for a humidity instead and how much work would it involve?

Thanks folks.

It's possible the humidity fan could run while you are trying to sleep.

The timer fans can have their overun time reduced remember.

The quickest solution to the excessive overrun is to open up the fan, locate the timer adjustment, and turn it down to minimum (or something you consider to be more appropriate if not the absolute minimum).

Personally, I'd add a separate switch or swap the fan for one with an integral switch so that it can just be switched on and off manually as required.
