I always put in 3 pole isolators when installing bathroom fans but would you also put in a 3A fused spur as most makes of fan request this in the literature?

Also do you have to put in a fan if the bathroom has an opening window?

Thanks

IMHO.

3a fused spur only required if you are running the fan from (eg) a ring final circuit. A 6amp cb on a lighting circuit protects the fan just fine.

Read Building Regs Part F 1.5

It says that bathrooms are REQUIRED to have extract ventilation.

Table 1.5 says the fan must have a 15 minute over-run timer if there is no opening window.
