We're in the middle of renovating our bathroom and was looking for advice regarding the flooring. We are looking to Tile, or possibly vinyl, but we're unsure what to lay on top of the current floorboards (see below picture) to ensure a flat surface. What would you recommend?

Cheers

Give it a good scrape to get as flat as possible then a good quality plywood like sp101 by Hanson plywood.
Ring nail or screw every 6" and every 4" around the perimeter.

Thank you for the reply. I've been reading about aqua board. Would this also be suitable. Also would it be wise to cover walls and ceiling as well.
