My bathroom heater (ancient I think!) is no longer working. Can someone please suggest a replacement for this type of device? Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the prompt response @aptsys. A couple of follow-up's if I may please
- This doesn't have the shaver point like the existing one has. Is this still valid in your opinion?
- Secondly, can I assume that the power ratings and hence current electricity provision is the same as what I have?

Thanks again

The Dimplex heater with shaver socket is FXS202KW. This is probably the model that you have, but it’s discontinued.

The new Dimplex one on the TLC site is shown as 2KW. You’ll need to look at yours to find out what the rating is, and also what the circuit that it is connected to can deliver!

Managed to track this down! I’m reading that as 2KW and therefore inclined to go with the proposed heater?

Update - the heater arrived and was fitted today. All working fine. Thanks for your help.

Q. The new heater doesn’t have an earth terminal. Unlike the old heater. I’ve used a terminal block to terminate the earth wire. Is that the right thing to do?

Thanks again

Excuse my ignorance but does that mean this unit is double insulated? And hence does not require earthing?
