Hey everyone,

Just a basic question, I'm a 19 year old student living in a flat and the light has just blown in my bathroom, there is no window so its important I get that light working again.

All I need to do is get the cover off. I thought it would be as simple as unscrewing it, but it wont. I've taken the liberty to provide a picture of the light to see if anyone has come across this before?

I don't think the fuse has blown because I have an extractor fan in there which is working (it runs off the same switch as the light)

Thanks for any help

If the shade doesnt unscrew I would expect to see 3 screws sticking out the side of the fitting holding the shade in place. Undo 2 of them while supporting the shade with your other hand.

I cant see any screws in the photo so I'd have the thought the shade is probably just screwed on tight.

Yes that's a steam proof fitting, should just unscrew in the normal direction.

Thanks for your answers guys I discovered that i'm an idiot

I was unscrewing it the wrong way

I'm going to go bang my head against a wall now :)
