I’m trying to replace my bathroom light pull cord, as it keeps failing (just won’t click on and off, I’ve taken it down and cleaned and reset it multiple times, however tends to break again within a few days so it seems it must be down to poor build quality/ heavy handed use).
I’ve been into both B&Q and Huws Gray and bought a new pull chord from each having explained what I need (pull cord for a single bathroom light, no extractor) .
Neither of the inner working of the pull chords I’ve bought now match the layout of the pull chord that I’m replacing.
IMG_5574 and 5576 show the existing (broken) set up that I’m replacing. IMG_5573 shows Huws Gray switch and IMG_5577 shows B&Q switch.
Is it possible/ efficient/ safe to wire in the cabling I have to either of the cords I’ve bought?
Thanks!
