I am just re-doing my bathroom out and would like some advice on the type of lighting to put in. I would like to put approx 4 low voltage spot lights in - however is this wise in a humid bathroom (I will be having an electric shower and am planning on installing an extractor fan). WOuld they need to be of a suitable IP rating? Also my loft is boarded out - do these lights need ventilation around them ? (the boards would come up for fitting but then go back afterwards - but would the insulation prove to be a fire hazard?)

so long as the lights are suitable for the zone (check for refernce for zones) then check the box of lights, yes they will be ok, and yes remove all the inulation around the lights and transformers
