I am planning on fitting 12v spots in bathroom the bathroom is small and 4 downs will be enough, i have seen some that can be run from 1 transformer (150watt)- the bulbs are not covered with a cover and ceiling is 2400mm from floor are these ok transformer in loft?

I'd guess it depends on what zone the lights are in and what the IP rating is. However wait for an electrical grown up to comment.

It is Z2 over the bath, Z3 within 600mm of bath edge (running away from bath) then beyond that, it is outside the zones.
But for Z2< I would use IP66 fitting. I see many SELV d/l over baths & showers that are inoperative due to water damage. The fittings corrode, and steam and condensation get into the ceiling void and damage the lampholder.
