Hi everyone,

I'm new to the forum, and was told about this site by a colleague at work.

I have a question about some items I ordered by Potter Perrin. About a week ago, I ordered a bath, shower, toilet, basin and bidet together with all fittings etc.

I also ordered some furniture to conceal all the pipework.

Now, this ordering was all done on measurements I provided. I collected my final drawing from them a week later and when I looked at the layout I noticed that the shower tray was very close to the toilet!

I immediately called them and wanted to return the units as it brought out the toilet/bidet an extra 320mm.

They told me that they have a no returns policy so I have had to work around that and order a smaller shower.

Now I'm still not pleased with their answer. The plan they gave me was one week after my initial consultation with them where they only did a rough sketch. I was not informed of this no returns policy.

I still wouldn't mind returning the goods and starting from scratch. What should I do?

That's a bit harsh. I could understand if they were made to order but that's unlikely. At worst I could understand a re-stocking charge. You should maybe see if you can return them and pay the charge. Obviously you will have to swallow that but at least you can get the bathroom you want.

At least the name Potter Perrin in the heading will alert future customers who google it, to their stupid policy.

Why not tell them that you have posted on a very popular site and that it might be in their interest to exchange the goods as requested.
