bathroom pull cord extractor fan

Can anyone help? i have purchased a pull cord extractor fan that has a flex with a shaver plug attached, can i run the fan off the shaver socket as this would save a lot of work ? cheers phil

So you're going to have an extractor fan somewhere on the wall, with a flex trailing over to the shaver socket?



1) It's still notifiable.

2) Given that you've still got to cut a hole in the wall, why do you want to save the bit of work involved in installing it properly?

Thanks, the fan will be sited about 18 inches directly above the shaver socket with a light ( which is never used) and the flex housed in mini trunking, this would save me having to retile the bathroom at the present time, and could fit the fan properly when the bathroom is refurbished, cheers jp
