Hi,

My bathroom light has a pull cord. The light is turning on and off and the cord is working as it should. However, the light is only coming on at ~30% it's normal brightness. I suspect this is down to an inbuilt dimmer switch. I've tried pulling the cord twice, pulling it hard and holding, pulling it in different directions, turning the trip switch on and off and had no success. I have not unscrewed the box yet. I do not think there is any problem with the light fitting itself.

Please could you help me figure out how to turn this setting off?

Thank you

Some don't have a built in dimmer and it means the lamp needs changing before it fails completely.

Of course, if you recently changed you bulbs to LED then there may be a compatibility issue between the lamps and the dimmer.
