Hi all,
I’ll be starting my bathroom renovation next weekend, I’ve already removed the existing suite, fixings and the carpet. Yes, carpet.
Before we get it replastered I need to make preparations for the wall hung basin. I want all the pipe work to be hidden in the solid wall, hot, cold and waste. Consequently, a few questions:
Are there any comprehensive guides showing this type of work?
Many thanks.

Before we get it replastered I need to make preparations for the wall hung basin. I want all the pipe work to be hidden in the solid wall, hot, cold and waste. Consequently, a few questions:
- What tools are essential for chasing the wall? I have an SDS drill with various chisel attachments. The chase will be a vertical chase of around 850mm but will need to be deep enough for both feeds and the waste.
- Is solvent weld the most appropriate joining method for the 32mm waste given it will be plastered over?
- What material should be used for the hot and cold feeds, again, given these will be buried in the wall and plastered over? If copper, I understand they need to be protected from the plaster. Is there a solvent fit 15mm plastic pipe?
Are there any comprehensive guides showing this type of work?
Many thanks.
