Hi,

I am partially replacing damaged skirting board in my bathroom and need to find some matching replacement skirting.

I've measured the thickness of the existing skirting at about 10mm. However any skirting of the same style I can find (e.g. the below from B&Q, alt) is 14.5mm thick. I've searched on the net for 10mm skirting and can't seem to find any.

Have I just measured the existing skirting wrong?!

The skirtings and the tiles are both probably on the face of the wall, ie your skirting is probably the thickness you measured plus the thickness of the tiles plus adhesive.

Hi Alan,

Thanks very much for the reply - yes, you're right. The 14.5mm will be fine. Thanks for the advice, much appreciated.
