hi im thinking of getting a new bathroom suite fitted could anyone tell me what this is likely to cost me, its just a case of taking old one out and putting new one in
Well.. assuming it is a straight swap of Bath/Basin/Toilet, like for like with no major pipework alterations bar a few isolation valves &/or flexible hoses/tap connectors. Depending on what part of the country you live in & what is actually needed you could be talking approx £250 - £400 for labour alone I'd think was the 'norm'
Honestly though thats just a rough guess, without seeing the thing its hard to predict how long it would take & what fittings (if any are needed).
If the pipes are all in the correct region & you are supplying the entier suite. If you are quoted anything above £400, I'd ask them to detail why its gonna cost so much. But typically its common sense to get 3 or 4 plumbers out & get them to quote the same job, it will soon weed out the ones who try to take the ****.
